Indebtedness 101
Obama - The Hidden Story of His Backers

As disappointing as it may sound to Obama supporters, there is considerable evidence that, when it comes to doing favors for big contributors and the major sources of his income, Barack Obama does not "walk the talk" of "change we can believe in."

The information presented in these videos, which seems well-documented, could hand either Hillary Clinton or John McCain some damaging weapons that would sink Obama's candidacy for President.

The following links all come from a website I know little about - www.obamatruth.org. With the proliferation of so-called "527" organizations that are, for all practical purposes, outside the laws that control campaign spending and reporting, it would be interesting to check out who owns this website and what connections, if any, they may have to Hillary Clinton or John McCain.

Still - the information provided comes from legitimate MainStream Media (MSM) sources. Bringing this information to the public's attention is not a "dirty trick" - it is, I believe, legitimate disclosure which has a direct impact on a candidate's honesty and open disclosure, and is related to the issues.

Certainly Obama is not the only candidate in over his neck in debt to special interests. All three of them are. But it does greatly water down his message of "change."

The University of Chicago Hospitals accused of patient dumping.

Find out what Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General had to say. Click here.
From the HHS website:

May 08, 2006 The University of Chicago Hospitals (UCH), Illinois, agreed to pay $35,000 to resolve its liability for CMPs under the patient dumping statute. The OIG alleged that the hospital failed to accept an appropriate transfer of a 61-year-old male who presented to another emergency department with a complaint of flank pain. UCH had specialized capabilities not available at the transferring hospital and allegedly refused to accept transfer after learning that the patient did not have insurance. UCH then later agreed to accept transfer of the patient only if he provided proof of funds in a bank account. The patient was transferred to another hospital where he died.

Local reaction to the La Junta scandal:

Meet Santiago Vazquez  (Windows Media Video)

“Ms. Obama, vice-president for external affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, says she was asked to join the board — five months after her husband took office — after putting out feelers indicating she'd like to get some corporate management experience.” As if working for a hospital that charges uninsured minorities 5.4 times as much for drugs as Whites with insurance isn’t enough cold hearted corporate experience.

A corporate press release. "The plan to close the La Junta plant and distribution center has been difficult because of its impact on employees, families and the community. The La Junta employees have demonstrated exceptional loyalty and dedication. Unfortunately, Bay Valley Foods has experienced…a significant increase in overhead costs, making it necessary…”

A proud Mayor pitches his town.

And by the way, the Medical Center he talks about, they mark up their actual costs of drugs by 190% as compared to The University of Chicago which marks up their actual cost of drugs by 538%. I guess they just don’t have the same corporate mentality in La Junta.
