Truth-in-Advertising

Do you make affiliate income from any of your ads?

Yes, we do - from time to time - but we will fully inform you of that in any text-formatted articles pertaining to that product or service. If you see it in the format of an advertising banner or clearly marked text ad, you can safely assume we do make something from either the placement of the ad or the sale of the product or service.

In this respect, I rely on the long-established principals of print journalism to which I have always adhered as a newspaper editor/publisher. If it's an ad, it should be clearly identifiable as such.

Do you recommend products or software because it increases your affiliate income?

No, we don't. If we review a product and recommend it, it's on the merits of the product. If, by coincidence, we also sell the product as an affiliate, we will so inform you. This is not only the right thing to do, it's also the law - though you wouldn't know it from looking at most websites. We recommend many  products (the vast majority of our recommendations) with no compensation whatsoever.

I personally hate going to a website to compare, for example, web hosting services and having to wonder how much the website owner was paid to say glowingly false B.S. about a certain company.

Often, our reviews will reflect the approval or disapproval of actual readers/users who have reviewed the product/service on another website that is highly regarded for its independence and truthfulness.

Affiliate income is a mere pittance, if that, anyway - and our integrity and your trust is more important to us than your money.
